About me

I’m currently a twenty-three year old with natural red hair and blue eyes. I recently graduated from LeTourneau University with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and a minor in Mathematics. Currently, though, I work for Hewlett-Packard as a software engineer in Austin, Texas. I work on the Virtual Connect project which is a very successful networking module that plugs into the back of the HP BladeSystem.

As one might guess from my job, my foremost interest is computers. I know a few programming languages and scripting languages, although some I am not as proficient in as others. Examples include Coca with Objective-C, C++, C, Java, REALbasic, AppleScript, HTML, PHP, JavaScript, PowerPC assembly, x86 assembly, and Perl. When it comes to choice of computer, I prefer the Apple Macintosh. Not only do I create software for my job, but I also enjoy creating my own software as a hobby! You can check out my “freeware” applications under the @PAK Software section of my website. I also enjoy the occasional computer game.

My interest in the outdoors is a very close second. I very much like hiking! You can peruse some of my photo albums and you will see a good number of hiking pictures. I’ve thus far summited three 14ers of Colorado and plan to conquer the rest of the 54. I currently don’t do any backpacking, but I’m interested in starting though. In a similar vein, I also enjoy rock climbing, but I haven’t gotten into it much even though I own a pair of shoes.

For music, I like classic rock and oldies mostly. Hands down, my favorite band is Boston. A few other favorites of mine include Foreigner, Aerosmith, the Eagles, Elton John, The Beach Boys, and Queen.

Other than that, I don’t know what else to say. If you want to know anything else, feel free to ask!
